Please note: Nemours Kids Transport is not a 911 service. We offer patient transport by referral only from other licensed health care facilities to duPont Hospital for Children.

We offer comprehensive pediatric critical care transport by ground ambulance, helicopter, or fixed wing aircraft.
A brand new fleet of three Nemours-owned ambulances provides door-to-door service for patients who come to duPont Hospital for Children from referring hospitals and other facilities throughout Delaware Valley and the tri-state area (Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey).
Functioning as a mobile pediatric intensive care unit, our Transport Team is specially trained and experienced in the care of children, from birth to age 18, with acute and complex needs and can provide rapid response for medical transports at all times.
Our doctors are available for consultative care as soon as we receive a request for our services. Health care personnel from our hospital will work together with the contacting hospital or health care facility to plan the child’s care.
From the moment you call our Transport Communication Center, our communication specialists set in motion the preparations required to best serve the child’s needs. Our advanced electronic health record (EHR) links our clinical team to the patient’s entire medical record throughout the transport.
