While your child is in the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, he or she will have access to a bedside computer. We are excited to provide pediatric patient entertainment and age-appropriate education at the bedside via the GetWellNetwork and KidsHealth.
A comprehensive suite of patient education videos will also be available at each bedside in our Emergency Department.
It can be difficult to keep friends and family updated when your child is in the duPont Hospital for Children. CaringBridge is a FREE service that makes this task a little easier by providing you with a personalized website that allows you to quickly and easily alert your family and friends to the latest information regarding your child’s condition. For simple step-by-step instructions on building and updating your child’s personalized web page, visit the CaringBridge site. Please note that you are under NO obligation to maintain your CaringBridge web page once you build it. You can delete it immediately if you wish. This is an optional, free service for you.
Also, if you need online access, computers with free Internet access may be found on your child’s unit, in Child Life, and in the Ronald McDonald Family Room next to the cafeteria. In addition, the hospital provides laptop computers and free Internet access through our partnership with KINfolk. KINfolk helps connect chronically ill children with their families, friends, schools, and the opportunities of the online world. Please see Child Life or your unit’s social worker for more information.
You can quickly brighten the day of your loved one staying at the duPont Hospital by sending a FREE eCard. eCards are printed, folded, sealed, and delivered by a representative of the hospital’s Patient Relations department, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. As such, the eCard is not a private communication. You will learn more about e-Card etiquette if you choose to send one.

View your child’s medical record through our secure online portal, day or night.
