Patient Relations

Patient Relations at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children provides assistance and guidance to patients, families, and medical staff by seeking solutions to questions and concerns presented to the department.

Our staff coordinates efforts with department heads, physicians, and administrators, monitoring data collected through an unsolicited feedback process and survey results. Together, we identify areas that need improvement while also recognizing areas that are perceived as strengths.

The services we provide include:

  • courteous and safe transport within the hospital to ancillary services and at discharge
  • overseeing and monitoring hospital wagons and wheelchairs
  • educating and offering resources to customers and colleagues in both the inpatient and outpatient units
  • manning the main lobby Concierge Desk
  • collecting, tracking, and reporting data from Unsolicited Feedback concerns

The Patient Relations department is also responsible for providing Social Work and other related support services. Specific information about these services can be found in the Support Services area of the site.

We are located on the ground floor of the main hospital in GD-34, adjacent to the Medical Library.
