Why I Treat Children
Before med school I was a high school teacher. I’ve always worked with children. However, beyond that, I’m just fascinated by pediatric illness and finding the best way to deliver the highest value care to the kids who need our help.
What I'm Passionate About
I’m passionate about educating our students and residents to be compassionate, thoughtful and dedicated physicians. Also, I’m deeply interested in evidence-based medicine, and I’ve been involved now in the creation of three separate national guidelines, using evidence to guide our clinical decisions.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I spend countless hours making the pediatric residency run smoother and better. This is a process that never ends. We can always improve and we can always find better ways to teach and to serve our patients! Also, I try to work to find ways to help children navigate their health in a way that improves outcomes and reduces discomfort.
