Get to Know Me

I am a Delaware native and grew up in Wilmington. I am married, with two daughters, and come from a family that enjoys music, cooking, and eating. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is when babies I have seen in the nursery, on their first day of life, grow up into active toddlers and children.

Why I Treat Children

During my childhood and as an adolescent, I had terrific doctors who were role models, and they inspired me to go into medicine. When I was in medical school, I also had great experiences with the people working in pediatrics. Kids grow so much between birth and college-age. I have always enjoyed caring for children during this rapid-development period.

What I'm Passionate About

I was always interested in science and have a strong interest in improving health care outcomes for the children I care for. A lot of this came from my experience with the health care system and members of my own family. My research interests center on improving everyone’s access to quality health care.
