The Nemours Children’s Digestive Disorders and Gastrointestinal Surgery Center brings together pediatric colorectal surgeons, gastroenterologists and urologists with expertise in the full range of conditions. 

• We’re one of the few places in the nation that offers unsedated transnasal endoscopy (TNE) for kids.
• We participate in the Improve Care Now (ICN) Network, a national consortium that leads the effort to provide the best possible care for young patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
• We’re members of the Pull-thru Network (PTN), a nonprofit corporation that supports families diagnosed with anorectal malformations and Hirschsprung disease with their medical journey, with ostomy care, incontinence and bowel management issues, school and social issues.
• Our motility clinic, managed by subspecialty-trained motility physicians, provides complete testing to assess the various functions of the gastrointestinal tract and provides services to improve your child’s quality of life.
• Our short bowel program offers treatment plans to ensure your child is receiving proper nutrition for maximal growth. We have a multidisciplinary clinic that can include surgery if needed. Surgery can be used to help manage your child’s short gut, but the hope is that we can manage your child medically and get them off Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) — when nutrition support is provided intravenously (through a vein, referred to as an “I.V.”) — and eating fully by mouth.
• We offer full-time pediatric dieticians to help with nutritional issues.
• Our feeding and swallowing therapy program is one of only four multispecialty pediatric inpatient rehabilitation programs in all of Florida — and the only one in Central Florida.
