Get to Know Me
Like many children of physicians, I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a doctor. My father was an infectious disease specialist who dedicated his entire career to research. Today, medicine is still a family dynamic for me. My husband is an ophthalmologist (eye doctor), and both of our daughters want to be physicians too. I guess you could say it’s in our blood.
Why I Treat Children
I have a natural tendency to nurture others. As a very young child I enjoyed taking care of people, particularly children. I knew then that pediatrics would be my specialty, and today I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about children having access to the best medical care possible. I love being part of the family and I think it’s important that every child feels safe, cared for and loved.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I treat every child as my own, and my care doesn’t end when the office closes. I worry about patients as I do my own, I have pride in them as I do my own, and I treat them gently and respectfully.
