Get to Know Me
I am a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Nemours and a clinical assistant professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. When I’m not at work, I am most likely spending time with my husband and our two daughters.
Why I Treat Children
Children have a particular innocence and resilience that motivates me in the work I do. I love that in pediatrics there is a constant team effort to foster positivity and joy. I am in awe of the incredible strength of my amazing patients.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about providing exceptional care to my patients and bringing novel, effective therapies to the bedside. I specialize in taking care of children with leukemia as well as children who need a stem cell transplant or cellular therapy.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I understand that I am meeting my patients and families on what seems like the worst day of their lives. I honor the difficult journey that they are about to undertake and the role I have in leading them on that journey. I make every effort to spend time with patients and families, making sure they have all the information they need regarding a diagnosis and treatment plan and that they know there is no question they can’t ask me. I also involve myself with research at Nemours in an effort to make sure that we are providing novel therapies to our current patients, as well as advancing the field for future patients.
