Get to Know Me
I grew up in Oviedo and attended the University of Central Florida for a BS in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, and for my medical degree. I then completed my pediatric residency at the University of Virginia. Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my family. My wife and I welcomed a baby boy this year who loves to keep us on our toes!
Why I Treat Children
Children deserve high quality care. I have always found it very rewarding to care for kids throughout periods of illness and wellness. Keeping the ones I love healthy is the reason I am a pediatrician today, and I look forward to caring for your child in the same way.
What I'm Passionate About
In primary care, I am passionate about effective communication with patients and the members of their care team. I strive to help families feel in control of their child's care and confident in the plan, both in keeping kids healthy and in handling acute or complex medical conditions. My professional interests also include quality improvement, medical education and volunteer work.
How I Try to Make A Difference
The best way I can understand the needs of my patients and their families is by being present, attentive and a good listener. From our first visit to each subsequent encounter, I will seek to establish trust and create a safe and comfortable place to address your child's specific physical, emotional, educational and social needs.
