Get to Know Me
I am the president of a nonprofit organization established in memory of my brother, Michael, who died at a young age. Our mission is to provide education and home repairs for the underprivileged. I believe, and I teach my kids, that volunteerism and community service must be an integral part of our lives.
Why I Treat Children
I was introduced to pediatrics at an early age because my mom is a neonatologist, and I always enjoyed going to work with her when I was a child. I would also accompany my dad to work and loved to watch him perform open heart surgery. Working with children has always been natural for me, so pediatrics is a great fit.
What I'm Passionate About
I’m passionate about giving kids a chance to succeed, regardless of their medical condition. When I see my patients who are survivors and they tell me they have resumed playing their favorite sport, graduated from high school or college, are attending nursing school or medical school, getting married, having their first child... such news gives me pause to be grateful for the privilege to care for so many heroes.
