Get to Know Me
I grew up right outside of Philadelphia and am so excited to be back in the area! I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in biology from Penn State University, attended medical school at the University of Maryland and completed my pediatric residency at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking through national parks with my dog, spending time with family and painting.
Why I Treat Children
When I turned 11 years old, I told my parents that I was going to be a pediatrician when I grew up — and I stuck with it! Every day in pediatrics is an adventure, whether meeting a newborn for the first time, doing an exam on the floor to keep your child comfortable or talking one-on-one with a teenager. Each child is unique, and it is so much fun getting to know each and every one of them.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about providing care for Spanish-speaking families by helping them navigate the health care system in their native language. In addition, I have experience in lactation support, ADHD management and LGBTQ+ health. I encourage both children and parents to take an active role in their health and wellness, and love to watch them learn and grow over the years!
How I Try to Make A Difference
I strive to be someone that both children and parents feel they can trust and confide in. I have a passion for health equity and want to ensure that all patients, no matter their background, receive excellent care.
