Why I Treat Children
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted a career working with children. Being in pediatrics marries my love of medicine with my passion for advocating for the youngest members of our community. I love the idea of being able to follow my patients as they grow older and being able to develop meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about patient education and being able to take the time to teach patients and their families about their conditions. I was drawn to ophthalmology because of its unique ability to be involved in the care of both inpatients and outpatients, as well as participate in surgeries. This exposes me to a wide variety of cases that present a lot of opportunity for me to continue to learn and grow, both as a provider and in the field.
In my role as a physician assistant, I am an extension of the attending doctors. I strive to live up to the PA oath, always looking to expand my knowledge to continuously provide the best care for my patients. I also hope to make care more accessible to those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to see a provider or be faced with prolonged waits.
