Dr. Stephanie Stopka Pearce is a dual-fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon, pediatric orthopedic surgeon and adult orthopedic surgeon. She has been the team doctor for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and provided care for teams such as USA Tai Kwon Do, USA Fencing, USA Field Hockey and team USA lacrosse athletes.
Dr. Pearce is very aware of the levels of care and expertise needed for Olympic-level athletes and has done so many times. She'd be happy to consult with you and your child or teen on the care they need.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Complex Knee — Ligamentous (ACL, MCL, PCL, PLC etc.), meniscus, cartilage injuries
- Elbow — UCL (Tommy John), cartilage/OCD, impingement, fractures, little leaguers elbow
- Shoulder — Instability, labral tears, throwing athletes, little leaguers shoulder
- Cartilage Preservation — Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD), traumatic injuries
- Hip preservation — Hip arthroscopy, labral repairs, Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)
- Ankle, Wrist and other Sports Medicine Injuries
- Injections and Biologics including platelet rich plasma (PRP)
- Treating the entire athlete
