Get to Know Me

I grew up near Baltimore, the youngest of three kids. Our family doctor was so devoted to his patients that I wanted to be like him. In fact, my brother and sister are in the medical field, too. In addition to my work as an ENT surgeon, I’m interested in research that examines clinical outcomes to improve medical care for children.

Why I Treat Children

After treating adults for seven years, I entered a pediatric fellowship (Dr. James Reilly was my mentor) and found I liked it better. When a child has a medical problem, it’s almost never self-imposed. They didn’t do anything to cause their condition.

What I'm Passionate About

I feel strongly about making sure every child has access to healthcare. Children are at the mercy of their caregivers, and I believe we have an obligation to provide the best care we can for them.

How I Try to Make A Difference

I think back on my role model, my own pediatrician, and hope as a physician and surgeon that I can provide the same level of care and also develop a rapport with each child and family I see.
