Nemours Peer Support Program

Just as Nemours Children's ensures the best care for our patients, we are committed to ensuring care for our associates as well. The Nemours Peer Support Program provides free and confidential emotional support to all of our associates for either workplace or home-related stressors. The program is operated by trained Nemours associates who provide active and nonjudgmental support.

When associates should call

In response to stressors at work or home such as:

  • Exhaustion/burn-out
  • Feeling distressed following a traumatic patient event
  • Personal stressors such as relationship or financial concerns

Everyone can use some extra support sometimes, especially during stressful times like those we are currently experiencing. There is no shame in asking for support — and it is not a sign of weakness.

When is Peer Support available?

Support is provided days, nights and weekends based upon your preference.

How does an associate contact Peer Support?

Associates can reach out either by emailing peersupport@nemours.org or by calling (833) 921-1244 (toll-free). A member of the Peer Support team will respond to the email or phone message within 24 hours.
