Expert Care for Children and Teens
Our plastic surgeons help children feel better, function better and have more confidence.
For children with burns and other injuries, reconstructive surgery is life changing. We also treat many kids who are born with conditions such as cleft palate or vascular anomalies (growths made up of small blood vessels).
Our surgeons have advanced training in plastic surgery for children. We use less invasive surgery whenever possible. This means children heal more quickly and get back to being kids.
At Nemours Children's, we consider every aspect of your child’s well-being, including their emotional health. We partner with therapists, who can help children express feelings.
Nemours plastic surgeons work in all Nemours hospitals. We also work in some outpatient locations and freestanding surgery centers.

We see a wide range of conditions. We treat birthmarks, ear anomalies, injuries, cleft palate and other conditions present at birth. Whatever issue needs correction, our surgeons have helped other children with the same issue.
We have an entire team ready to help. In some locations, a surgical nurse keeps you updated about your child’s progress during surgery. Our plastic surgeons can consult with any of 30 other specialties when needed.
We use the least invasive surgical techniques possible. We use surgeries with smaller incisions when we can, because it means kids heal faster and go home more quickly.
