Step 1: Toddlers love to hear their favorite songs and books again and again and again. Reading rhythmic stories and poems is a great way to expose your little one to rhyme in a natural way. Think about some of your toddler’s favorite rhythmic books and read them often, even if it is just a page or two at a time.
Step 2: Toddlers love books about other children and routines that they can relate to, and they also love rhythm and rhyme. Here are a few books shown on this site to get you started:
