Care Beyond Medicine
A child going through surgery or complex medical treatment does better with support before, during and after treatment. Nemours offers a broad array of therapies and services for the whole family. We’re here from the start and stay with you throughout the journey. We offer:
- Nurse coordination serving as your point of contact and providing help setting up tests, appointments and procedures
- Social work services to help with finding resources, family support and help with coping
- Child psychology services, offering a variety of therapies and psychosocial support designed just for kids with complex medical needs
- Nutrition counseling to help kids overcome feeding problems and maintain strength and good health
- Support services, including Child Life services, creative therapies, pastoral support, school services and more
