About Our Pediatric Neuroscience Center
From the moment you arrive at Nemours Children’s Neuroscience Center in Wilmington, Delaware, you’re in a different kind of place. A place with personalized care, where you’re never just a number or an appointment time. Our entire neuroscience team works to make sure your child is comfortable and that you have support.
From newborns to adolescents, we see kids for a range of conditions that involve the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. This includes epilepsy and seizures, migraine headaches, muscle and nerve disorders, and complications from brain injuries.
We also diagnose babies in the womb, allowing us to create a care plan before birth. In some cases, you can even deliver your baby here at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware.
We’re always looking for improved ways to give kids the best possible care. It’s why we focus heavily on research. Here, you’ll have access to the latest clinical trials and new medications.

We emphasize and include quality of life perspectives when it comes to managing kids with severe epilepsies, reducing medication side effects and helping them thrive.
We’re researching new and innovative treatments for muscle disease like spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), as well as brain injury in newborn babies.
Our neonatal neurology team can diagnose some conditions as early as 12 weeks in pregnancy. You can even deliver your baby here.

In addition to doctors, your child’s neurological team includes certified advance practice providers and pediatric nurse practitioners. These providers have special experience caring for kids with brain and spine conditions.
We connect families with providers in related fields, such as genetic counselors, neuropsychologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, sleep medicine specialists and neuroimmunologists.
We may see you for a short time, or we may see you for years. For many families, we help transition care to adult neurologists. But for however long you’re here, we help you navigate every challenge and celebrate every win.

The Nemours Advanced Delivery Program allows healthy moms to deliver at our children’s hospital in Delaware. This means your baby can get the critical care they need right away.
If you can’t deliver here, we have advanced neonatal transport equipped with lifesaving technology. We’ll get your baby here safely and quickly.
