Grapefruit Popsicles

These homemade grapefruit popsicles are not only delicious but also packed with vitamins and antioxidants, making them a healthy and refreshing treat for kids on a hot day.

Grapefruit Popsicles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (about 3–4 grapefruits)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Optional: finely chopped mint leaves or basil leaves for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water and honey or maple syrup. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sweetener has dissolved completely. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and the sweetened water mixture. Stir well to combine.
  3. Optional: Add finely chopped mint leaves or basil leaves to the grapefruit mixture for extra flavor.
  4. Pour the grapefruit mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
  5. Insert popsicle sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely frozen.
  6. Once frozen, remove the popsicles from the molds by running them under warm water for a few seconds.
  7. Serve these refreshing grapefruit popsicles immediately and enjoy.
