Expert Cancer Care for Children, Teens and Young Adults

The Nemours Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (NCCBD) is all about helping kids beat cancer and thrive. We do this through treatment, research and constant support of children and families.

We enroll more children into cancer trials than nearly any other pediatric institution. And we’re even nationally ranked for pediatric cancer treatment at our Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware location.

We’re not a single place, but a multistate pediatric oncology and hematology program that includes many convenient places for families to get care, including key locations in:

Each location belongs to the Children’s Oncology Group, the most experienced cancer organization in the world. We’re also one of the few designated kids-only National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Programs (NCORP) in the country. This is why we have access to the most promising clinical trials.

And, with our tumor board and patient conferences, we bring experts from multiple specialties together from all of our locations to develop a plan of action for treating your child's cancer.

Finding out your child has cancer or a blood disorder can be overwhelming. Our team has the expertise, patient-centered approach and compassion to see your family through the journey.

We offer unique programs. In Orlando we offer a state-of-the-art infusion center. The center offers private rooms for kids who need chemotherapy on an outpatient basis. Our Nemours Children’s Center for Fetal Care offers early detection of cancer and other disorders using ultrasound while the baby is still in the womb. And we offer proton therapy as part of our collaboration with UF Health/Shands, the nation’s largest proton therapy provider and a State of Florida Cancer Center of Excellence (and the only one in the Southeast).

In Jacksonville we offer unique treatments and therapies, including bone marrow transplants and CAR-T cell immunotherapy through Wolfson Children’s Hospital and UF. And, through our relationship with Wolfson, our patients have access to Florida’s first and only pediatric MIBG treatment center to treat high-risk neuroblastoma.
